Soon the three of them were close to the fence, watching the monkey/feline/slinky creatures. Jubes held her baby against her chest while she struggled to keep away her cell phone from Cati's reach as she took pictures of the lemur's not-as-exciting-as-in-the-movies party.

"Can you hold her for a minute? She's like obsessed with ruining my photographer career." Again, the baby was shoved onto his arms before he was even psychologically prepared to take her. At the very least, this time it wasn't that bad. Cati was still struggling to reach Jubes' phone, so at least she had her sticky hands away from his face.

She was even smiling in a sort of cute way.

"Smile! Shawn with a w and baby!" Jubilee exclaimed as she leaned against his arm and took a myspace style photo of the three of them.

"I think your cell phone's flash left us blind, Jubebee."

"Don't be silly! Cell phone cameras don't have flash!" She shrugged off his complaint as she checked the photo out. "Oh my, God! We all look so adorable! I'm totally posting this on Facebook!"

"I still think you cell phone left my third eye blind..." He rubbed his eyes and then craned his neck to get a look at the pic.

It was adorable. Of course, he had a natural talent to look adorable in any picture, from his file photo when he got arrested, or old school pictures, or even in overly drunk surprise pictures. It was cool to see that you can still surprise yourself, Shawn. Who'd think you'd look so good next to a baby?

She took the baby back in her arms and continued admiring the photo. "We look like a happy family, don't you think, future possible husband?"

The weirdest thing? They did. And he had to push down a weird feeling in his stomach, a weird feeling that turned his mouth dry and suddenly gave him weird ideas inolving things -things that he's surely never thought before, oh no- and how these things might work out if he'd actually consider to give them a shot.

He leaned down, pressing his lips softly against hers, deepening the kiss briefly before the baby between them slapped his face, forcing him to pull back.

At least it was the baby and not Jubes who had slapped him.

He leaned again against the fence. After a while of searching for the bouncing lemurs that apparently had all of a sudden decided to play hide and seek who knows where because he couldn't spot them, Shawn looked down at his side and saw Jubes smiling. It wasn't her usual, toothy huge smile. It was soft and sweet and he swears she was blushing a little bit. Cati smacked him again, this time on his arm.

"You better send me those pictures later, Ju-Ju girl. Don't force me to kick my spirit out of my body and send him every night to haunt you until you do it. It's going to tire us both and I'm sure that my lungs can easily compete against the kiddo's."

He really hopes that she does, he'd like to keep a copy of that photo.

They do look like a possible happy family in it.
